My love of fibre arts started when I was very young, in fact I learned how to sew by hand before I was 5. My mother taught me how to sew, knit and crochet. I have continued on practicing those arts, and in the past couple of years I learned how to weave, starting out teaching myself to weave on an Inkle Loom, which my wonderful husband built for me. This peaked my interest so much, when I discovered Rigid Heddle weaving I just had to learn that. My husband kindly helped me out again by building me a rigid heddle loom. Then last fall, I took a course on how to weave on a 4-shaft/harness loom. I loved it so much that when I got the opportunity to purchase a 2nd hand 4-shaft loom I jumped at the opportunity. After some labour-intensive cleaning of the loom, I am now up and running with it.
